No More Pigeon Food in St. Mark’s…

Nancy Flynn Stream of Consciousness Archive, Travel

That’s the big, no huge, no even bigger news today. The pigeon food vendors (1 euro a pop) moved all their carts into a picket line of sorts along the Molo entrance to the piazza.  We later learned the ban goes into effect on May Day, tomorrow. The public domain image above is a painting by Carl Grubacs entitled “St Mark’s and the Doges Palace Venice.”
