Musings on Writing and Life.

Two of my poems have been accepted for publication in the September 2025 edition of Halfway Down the Stairs with its theme of “Muse.” Halfway Down the Stairs is (per their website) “a quarterly literary magazine established in 2005 to publish cutting-edge fiction, poetry, and nonfiction by talented writers.  New issues are published every March, June, September, and December.”

“A Baffling Earth” is a posthumous letter to Emily Dickinson begging her to help us—with her poetry and her wisdom—in these oh-so trying times. “It Ends, It Begins: A Cento” invokes the gods and is crafted from fourteen last lines taken from poems in the anthology, Legitimate Dangers: American Poets of the New Century, edited by Michael Dumanis and Cate Marvin. My work has appeared in this super journal before and I am thrilled to be in their pages again.
