Solstice. Day of an equal amount of light and dark. Late December. Nearly the end of an insufferably long and disappointingly amoral year. During which our (so-called) leaders/elites/people with power abdicated and left the salvation of the republic to all of the rest of us banging our tambourines and cowbells in the many streets, marching marching marching to speak truth to power. So now, here we are. Trying to pretend/believe/pretend that another normal holiday season is upon us. Deck the halls and praise the lord!
